This year's Tony Award nominations boast some of the strongest competitions in recent memory. Co-stars Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole are facing off against Bette Midler. Screen legends Cate Blanchett, Sally Field, Laurie Metcalf, and Laura Linney are all in the same tough category. Newcomers Ben Platt and Josh Groban are going head-to-head with Broadway stalwart Andy Karl. The list goes on.

Since this season was such a windfall of talent, the nominees are truly the best of the best. With so many deserving nominees, it can be tricky to keep them all straight.
