A new dynasty takes over at Broadway’s long-running The Lion King July 5 when Derek Smith, Cameron Pow and Adrienne Walker join the cast as Scar, Zazu and Nala, respectively.
Tony Award nominee and Obie winner Smith (The Green Bird) returns to the Broadway company, where he previously performed the role of Scar beginning in 2000, having also played the role on the North American tour. He's also a winner of the Clarence Derwent Award. He is scheduled to perform through October 9, at which point Gareth Saxe will resume the role.
