Broadway is about to get a lot more glamorous, when the new musical War Paint opens this spring. The musical, which stars two-time Tony Award-winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole, tells the remarkable true story of Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, two titans of the cosmetics industry in the early 20th Century. The musical comes from the powerhouse creative team behind Grey Gardens, with music and lyrics by Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, and direction by Michael Greif (Rent, Next to Normal, Dear Evan Hansen).
Today, producers announced the complete casting for War Paint: Joining Patti LuPone and Chrstine Ebersole, Tony nominees John Dossett and Douglas Sills will reprise their roles from the Goodman Theatre's production last year. The company will include Barbara Jo Bednarczuk, Patti Cohenour, Mary Ernster, Tom Galantich, David Girolmo, Joanna Glushak, Chris Hoch, Mary Claire King, Steffanie Leigh, Erik Liberman, Barbara Marineau, Donna Migliaccio, Stephanie Jae Park, Jennifer Rias, Angel Reda, and Tally Sessions.
Previews for War Paint begin on March 7, 2017, with an opening night set for April 6, 2017 at the Nederlander Theatre. Group tickets are available by visiting the show page below.
