Caroline, or Change

This production of Caroline, or Change is closed, but you can still see a show. See what's playing and book group tickets for your next Broadway show.

Direct from a smash-hit run on London's West End, this new production of Tony Kushner (Angels in America) and Jeanine Tesori’s (Fun Home) explosive musical, Caroline, or Change, launches to “the titanic dimensions of greatness" (Ben Brantley, The New York Times).

The “incandescent” (Holly Williams, Time Out London) Sharon D Clarke stars in an exhilarating, Olivier Award-winning performance as Caroline, an African-American maid whose world of 1963 Louisiana ripples with change both large and small.

Erupting with transcendent songs and larger-than-life imagination, Caroline, or Change explores how, in times of great transformation, even the simplest acts shake the earth.

Theatre Policies

For everyone’s protection and peace of mind, Roundabout is requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine for our audiences—as well as artists and staff. We will require proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test for those who are unvaccinated due to a disability or religious belief.

All audience members 12 years of age and older are required to be fully vaccinated before entering the theatre and must show proof of vaccination with a valid photo ID. “Vaccinated” means on the day of the performance date as shown on the valid ticket, a guest has received(a) the second dose of an FDA or WHO authorized 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or
(b) the single dose of an FDA or WHO authorized 1-dose vaccine, or
(c) for international guests, 2 doses of any “mix and match” combination of an FDA or WHO approved COVID-19 vaccines is acceptable.

Any guest whose last vaccine dose (excluding boosters) was fewer than 14 days before the date of performance must, in addition to meeting these requirements, also present proof of (a) a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of the performance time, or (b) a negative COVID-19 antigen test within 6 hours of performance time.

All audience members will be required to show proof of vaccination, which clearly identifies the vaccine received and the date of the last dose, along with a corresponding photo ID.

Audience members age 5-11 must present proof of at least ONE dose of an FDA or WHO approved COVID-19 vaccine AND be accompanied by an adult who complies with the entry requirements. Children under age 5 are not permitted in the theatre.

Audience members with a qualifying disability, or a sincerely held religious belief precluding them from receiving the vaccine may present—in lieu of proof of vaccination—proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test within 6 hours of the performance start time.

If you are unable to provide the requested documentation at this time please contact Audience Services for assistance in rescheduling. Any ticket holder unable to meet vaccine and/or testing requirements will be denied entry.
