In 1982, Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song moved to the Little Theatre after striking a cord with audiences Off-Broadway.
Now, thirty-six year's later, Second Stage's Off-Broadway production with follow in its footsteps,
opening this fall in the very same theatre - now called the Helen Hayes.
Hilarious and heart-wrenching, Torch Song follows Arnold Beckoff’s odyssey to find happiness in New York. All he wants is a husband, a child, and a pair of bunny slippers that fit, but a visit from his overbearing mother reminds him that he needs one thing more: respect.
