During the holiday period, the entire Company of New York City Ballet is immersed in activities surrounding George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®. It's the familiar holiday story where a brave young girl turns the tide in a battle between toy soldiers and mischievous mice, and a blizzard of ballerinas reveals a wonderful world of confection.
And what better way to learn about this masterpiece than to get up close and personal with the choreography ourselves! Check out the video below, where New York City Ballet corps dancers Miriam Miller and Laine Habony talk about the show and teach us a little choreography. See the magic for yourself by visiting the show page below and booking your tickets!
