Robert Petkoff Will Temporarily Join Moulin Rouge! on Broadway

Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! will welcome Robert Petkoff to the cast. Petkoff will join the company at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Nov. 22, playing the role of Harold Zidler through Jan. 5, 2025. Petkoff will take over for Austin Durant, who is currently on a leave of absence. Company understudies Patrick Clanton and Frank Viveros play the role through Nov. 21; a return date for Durant will be announced.

Petkoff joined the national tour of Moulin Rouge! in the role of Zidler in September of 2023. His Broadway résumé includes playing Hubert Humphrey in 2014’s All the Way, Tateh in the 2009 revival of Ragtime, Perchick in the 2004 mounting of Fiddler on the Roof and replacing as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in 2011’s Anything Goes. Additionally, he played Bruce in the touring company of Fun Home.
