The Broadway revival of Cabaret will welcome a new pair of star players this spring. Beginning on March 31, Orville Peck will step into the role of the Emcee and Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada will take over the role of Sally Bowles. The duo will remain with the production at the August Wilson Theatre through July 20. Peck and Noblezada will succeed Adam Lambert and Auliʻi Cravalho, respectively, who will depart the Rebecca Frecknall-helmed production on March 29.
Cabaret will mark the Broadway debut of Peck, who is known for his work in the country music world, frequently performing wearing a mask. His albums include “Pony,” “Bronco” and “Stampede.” No stranger to legit theater, Peck made his West End debut in Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
“The Emcee has been my dream role since I was a teenager,” said Peck in a statement. “I grew up in the theater. I was a working actor and a dancer for many years before I started making music. It taught me so much of who I am as a performer and a person, so it feels very full circle to be making a return to it at this point in my career.”
