Crisis Averted! The Play That Goes Wrong Extends Its Run

The Play That Goes Wrong, announced today that the Tony Award-winning production has extended its run past its previously announced closing date Sunday, August 26. The show is now on sale until Sunday, January 6, 2019. Tickets will be available starting Friday, July 13 at noon.

By January 6 the Broadway production will have played 27 previews and 745 performances, making it the 2nd longest running show in the history of the Lyceum Theatre (after the original Born Yesterday in 1947).

The National Tour will open in Pittsburgh, PA in September.

The producers of The Play That Goes Wrong, one of the longest running plays in recent Broadway history, remarked "We goofed! We had the 'wrong' date for closing and are excited to keep audiences laughing through the end of 2018 in New York and across the United States in 2019."
