ソウルの郊外にあるワンルームのアパートで、オリバーは静かな幸せな生活を送る。ジャズのレコードを聴いたり、お気に入りの植物を育てたりしている。しかし、彼が旧型ヘルパーロボット3、つまり既に廃止された時代遅れのロボットだったとしたら何ができる？ 彼と同じヘルパーロボットの隣人クレアが彼の充電器を借りに来る。二人の最初の気まずい出会いが、ユニークな友情、驚くべき冒険、そして恋愛へとつながる展開となる。
