Sara Bareilles made her Broadway debut on March 31, stepping into the role of Jenna in Waitress. It's a particularly exciting development, considering that Bareilles wrote the music and lyrics to the hit Broadway musical. Now she's performing the songs she wrote eight nights a week for Broadway audiences. Clearly, audiences are thrilled to see the singer-songwriter show a new side of herself: Bareilles has been setting house records at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre left and right since she joined the show.
