Video: Nyle DiMarco and Children of a Lesser God Star Lauren Ridloff Teach ASL Signs Every Broadway Fan Should Know

Playbill News

Mark Medoff’s Tony Award-winning play Children of a Lesser God returns to Broadway this spring for the first time since its 1980 Broadway premiere. The landmark play and subsequent 1987 film adaptation introduced Deaf culture to mainstream audiences.

Kenny Leon directs the revival starring Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, The Affair) and Lauren Ridloff (Wonderstruck) that begins previews March 22 at Studio 54 ahead of an April 22 opening night.

Model, actor, and Deaf activist Nyle DiMarco is making his Broadway debut as a producer on the production.

He and Ridloff stopped by Playbill to teach Broadway fans some essential ASL signs that they can use at the theatre. Book your tickets to see Children of a Lesser God by visiting the show page below, and head on over to Playbill to watch the video and READ MORE.
