The search to cast the original production of Miss Saigon in 1988 brought the musical's creators around the world. When they held auditions in the Philippines, Jon Jon Briones auditioned for legendary producer Cameron Mackintosh on a whim and landed a part in the chorus of the musical. Briones was quickly whisked off to London, in what was his first time out of the country, to perform in the mega musical.
