“Bernadette Peters has stopped more shows on Broadway than the stagehands union” (NPR). And now, the two-time Tony Award® winner is back on Broadway in Hello, Dolly!, the universally acclaimed smash “with more centerpieces than a banquet at the Waldorf” (Newsweek). Every night at the Shubert Theatre, this unparalleled star steps into the iconic title role and descends the grand staircase “like she invented stairs” (Entertainment Weekly), adding yet another triumph to her six-decades-long career. As Peter Marks of The Washington Post says, “It feels like the keeping of one of Broadway’s sacred promises.”
Winner of four Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, director Jerry Zaks’ triumphant production is “classic Broadway at its best” (Entertainment Weekly). “They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore,” raves Variety, "and we all know it.” Don’t miss this Broadway legend, back where she belongs in “a musical comedy dream” (Rolling Stone).
The show was better than fabulous. The scenery was outstanding. The entire cast was magnificent. This is the 8th time I have seen Hello Dolly over the many years. This ranks among the top. Some of my children and grandchildren attended with me and were in awe of this production. We would love to see it again.
Our group thought the show was amazing. Our group was diverse in age and also in experience with having seen or heard Hello, Dolly! before. It's sure a treat for all. The production values are top rate. A true Broadway experience, and the cast was stellar.
Our group can't stop talking about how wonderful the show was. It was a breath of fresh air to see a classic Broadway show redone with a new take on an old show. The sets, costumes and cast were all the best of the best!
