Broadway Inbound Hosts 5th Annual Theatre Night

On Tuesday, March 28, Broadway Inbound welcomed NYC & Company’s international representatives to our fifth annual Theatre Night. This special event is designed to get the reps better acquainted with the Broadway Collection—our premier marketing program dedicated to promoting Broadway to the travel industry domestically and around the world.

NYC delegates from seventeen global offices joined us at the legendary Sardi’s restaurant to sip cocktails, meet our amazing staff, and chat with representatives from the City’s hottest shows and most prestigious performing arts organizations. After cocktails and conversation, the NYC & Company team were invited to see one of the shows from the Broadway Collection.

The opportunity for these reps to attend a show and chat with our team is vital to making sure NYC performing arts are well-represented around the world. NYC & Company staff were encouraged to select shows they had never seen before, to get a real sense of the breadth of shows available to visitors. Many chose one of this season’s hot Broadway productions, some went downtown to catch an Off-Broadway, and some ventured up to Lincoln Center to the Met Opera.

Throughout the year, Broadway Inbound works closely with NYC & Company, the city’s official destination marketing organization, to promote the City’s performing arts to key inbound tourism markets. In addition to events like this, the two organizations partner on NYC Center Stage, a series of performances designed to bring Broadway performers to the USA’s top travel industry tradeshows.

Broadway Inbound is proud to be able to host NYC & Company each year, and—with the help of participating productions—offer them the chance to experience the world’s greatest live entertainment. This event helps raise the profile of NYC shows, events, and venues around the world and increase awareness among potential visitors to New York.
